Application Fields

Overview


This guide explains how to configure Application Fields in SmartRecruiters using CodeBot. It provides step-by-step instructions to help administrators create and manage application fields used to capture candidate information during the application process.



  1. Navigate to CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors, and enter your login details.


  1. From the Home screen, navigate to Module Access Panel → Talent & Learning → SmartRecruiters.



  1. Select your workspace from the next screen.



  1. Navigate to the generated workbook by clicking the Sheet icon..



  1. The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Select the Application Fields worksheet.



  1. Application field columns:
  • Processing Status – Set to Processed once reviewed, or Pending if still needs action.
  • Processing Field name – Internal field name used during processing/import.
  • Field Name – Display name of the field.
  • Application Field Type – Set to Standard or Custom.
  • Field Type – Input format for the field (e.g., Free text, Currency, Date, Single select).
  • Validation – Validation rule applied to the field, if any.
  • Minimum – Minimum allowed value or date.
  • Maximum – Maximum allowed value or date.




  • Candidate Profile – TRUE if the field appears on the candidate profile.
  • Candidate Profile Required – TRUE if the field is mandatory on the candidate profile.
  • Offer Form – TRUE if the field appears on the offer form.
  • Offer Form Required – TRUE if the field is mandatory on the offer form.


Remaining fields – Fill out based on your organization's requirements.





  1. Close the workbook and return to SFCodeBot, then click the hamburger icon under the Actions tab for the same iteration number, and select Start Configuration.



  1. On the left-hand side, enter your SAP SuccessFactors password or sign in using SSO (if it is configured for your instance). Next, enter the Execution Notes. On the right-hand side, under Advanced Options, select the App Fields checkbox and finally, click Confirm and Start to begin the execution.




  1. As the status changes to processing you can monitor the execution. Below is the article attached for iteration monitoring.

  1. Once the status shows complete, go back in the workbook, and observe that Application Fields has been added successfully as the rows and their corresponding fields are now highlighted green. Meanwhile, the processing status have also turned to processed.



  1. You can also verify these changes by logging in to your SmartRecruiters instance and confirming that the newly added application field appears in the Application Fields list with the configured field name, type, and settings.
