Time Profile

The following article will help explain how you can add or update an Time Profile through SFCodeBot.


  1. Navigate to CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors, and enter your login details.


  1. On the Home screen, click on the Time Track module.



  1. Select your workspace from the next screen.


  1. Navigate to the generated workbook by clicking the Sheet icon..



  1. The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Select the Time Profile worksheet.


  1. Add New Time Profile Columns:
  • Column B: Set the Processing Status to Pending.
  • Column C: Enter the Processing Time Profile Code — the reference code tied to this record.
  • Column E: Enter the Time Profile Code.
  • Column F: Enter the Time Profile Name.
  • Column G: Enter the Country.
  • Column H: Specify the Time Account Type for Working Time Account (leave blank if not applicable).
  • Column J: Enter the Default Import Attendance Time Type.
  • Column K: Enter the Time Recording Variant.
  • Column L: Enter the Main Break Time Type.
  • Column M: Enter the Main Absence Time Type.
  • Column N: Enter the Main Attendance Time Type.
  • Column O: Enter the MDF Effective Start Date.
  • Column P: Set the Status (e.g., Active/Inactive).
  • Column Q: Set Update TOiL Account Only When Changes Approved — TRUE or FALSE.
  • Column R: Set Update Working Time Account Only When Changes Approved — TRUE or FALSE.
  • Column S: Enter Instructional Text For Time Off Employee Self-Service.
  • Column T: Read-only — Entity UUID (auto-generated).

  1. Close the workbook, back in CodeBot click the hamburger menu and click on Start Configuration.


  1. On the left-hand side, enter your SAP SuccessFactors password or sign in using SSO (if it is configured for your instance). Next, enter the Execution Notes. On the right-hand side, under Advanced Options, select the Time Profile checkbox and finally, click Confirm and Start to begin the execution.



  1. Later on, you can click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration. Screenshots will be visible once changes are successfully pushed to the instance.



  1. Once the status shows complete, go back in the workbook, and observe that Time Profile has been added successfully as the rows and their corresponding fields are now highlighted green. Meanwhile, the processing statuses have also turned to processed.



  1. You can also confirm these changes by switching to Manage Data on SAP Success Factors and Time Profile.
