MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) for S-ID/Universal ID/IAS

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a multi-step account login process that requires users to enter more information than just a password. For example, along with the password, users might be asked to enter a code sent to their email, answer a secret question, or scan a fingerprint.
This article will you help you in setting up MFA.

log in to your SAP instance by entering your credentials.




Scroll down till you see Multi-Factor Authentication and click deactivate.




Expand the drop-down and click on “Existing Multi-Factor authentication”.




Once done, this will ask you to choose an authentication method, click on “TOTP two-factor authentication ”.




Enter the passcode that you received on your email or phone and click Deactivate.




Now click on Activate.




Here you will get the key and enter the second passcode received on your email or phone, copy the key. At the end click activate.




Navigate to CodeBot and click on “My Keys” under your profile.




On the next window click on Add new user key.




Fill out the form and click Submit button

Title
MFA key



Notice that the key is now successfully added.
