Step-by-Step Guide: Executing Location Groups in Employee Central Using CodeBot
This comprehensive guide will walk you through creating new Location Groups, tracking execution progress, and verifying changes in SAP SuccessFactors with CodeBot.
Step 1: Access the Employee Central Module.
To begin updating Location Groups, log into your CodeBot dashboard. Locate and click on the Employee Central module tile.
Then, enter into your workspace.
Step 2: Open the Employee Central Workbook
Open the Employee Central Workbook and navigate to the Location Groups tab. This is where you'll initiate the process of adding or updating Location Groups.
Populate the required columns as follows:
Column B: Enter a new external code.
Column C: Input the end date.
Column D: Add the group name.
Column E: Enter the start date.
Column F: Provide a description.
Column G: Set the status to Active.
Column BZ: Set the processing status to Pending.
Save and close the workbook.
Step 3: Start Configuration in CodeBot
Back in CodeBot, click on the hamburger menu and select Start Configuration.
If SSO is implemented, log in using SSO.
Enter Execution Notes, check the Location Group checkbox, and click on Confirm and Start to begin the process.
Step 4: Track the Execution Progress
Execution is processing. Click the “i” icon to track the progress.
Refresh the logs to view updated information.
Once Complete, review the screenshots to see where the changes have been made in the instance.
Step 5: Review Updated Workbook
Reopen the Employee Central Workbook and navigate to the Location Group tab.
Successfully updated information will be highlighted in green.
The Processing Status column will display as Processed.
Step 6: Verify in SuccessFactors
Open your SAP SuccessFactors instance.
Navigate to Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures.
Search for the Location Group using the external code you just created.
Confirm that the new Location Group has been successfully created and updated in the instance via CodeBot.
