EC - CC Role

The following article will help explain how you can add a CC role to a workflow through SFCodeBot.


  1. Navigate to CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors, and enter your login details.



  1. On the Home screen, click on the Employee Central module.



  1. Select your workspace from the next screen.




  1. Navigate to a generated workbook in my case iteration #9. Click the sheet icon.




  1. The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Select the CC Role worksheet.



  1. CC Role Setup:
  • Column A: Enter a unique Item ID to identify the record.
  • Column B: Set the Processing Status to reflect the current processing state.
  • Column C: Enter the Workflow ID for the associated workflow.
  • Column D: Enter the Name of the CC role.
  • Column E: Enter the Description for the CC role.
  • Column F: Specify Remind In Days for reminders.
  • Column G: Select if Delegate Supported.
  • Column H: Enter the Escalation type.
  • Column I: Select the Alternate Workflow (future-dated).
  • Column J: Specify if CC Users should be Redirected to the Approval Page.

  1. CC Role Setup (K–N):
  • Column K: Select the CC Role Type.
  • Column L: Specify the Relationship to Approver.
  • Column M: Enter the CC Role.
  • Column N: Specify the Context.

CC Role Setup (O–S):

  • Column O: Specify Respect Permission (RBP).
  • Column P: Enter the Email Template Group.
  • Column Q: Specify the Processing Order.
  • Column R: Enter Custom String1.
  • Column S: Enter Custom String2.

Fill out the remaining fields as per your specific requirements.


  1. Close the workbook and return to SFCodeBot, then click the hamburger icon under the Actions tab for the same iteration number, and select Start Configuration from the drop-down menu.


  1. The Start Configuration popup will appear. Enter your credentials and some execution notes. Lastly, select the Workflows, Contributors, and CC Roles checkboxes, and hit Confirm and Start buttons.


  1. Later on, you can click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration. Screenshots will be visible once changes are successfully pushed to the instance.



  1. Once the status shows complete, go back in the workbook, and observe that these cc roles have been added successfully as the rows and their corresponding fields are now highlighted green. Meanwhile, the processing statuses have also turned to processed.



  1. You can also confirm these changes by switching to Manage Organization, Pay, and Job Structures on SAP Success Factors and in the search bar, route to the workflow you have just created.
