EC - How to Configure an HRIS Sync?

The following article will help explain how you can create or update a synchronization for an HRIS element through SFCodeBot.

Navigate to CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors, and enter your login details.

On the Home screen, click on Employee Central module.

Select your workspace from the next screen.

Navigate to a generated workbook in my case iteration # 245. Click the sheet icon.

The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Select the Event Reason worksheet.

In Column B, choose an HRIS element you would like to create a sync mapping for. Select the type of sync mapping you would like to create in Column D. Fill the remaining fields according to your requirement and set the processing status to pending.

Close the workbook and navigate back to SFCodeBot. Click the hamburger icon under the Actions tab for the same iteration number. Select the ‘Start Configuration’ option from the dropdown menu.

The Start Configuration popup will appear. Enter your credentials and some execution notes. Lastly, select the HRIS Sync checkbox, and hit Confirm and Start buttons.

Later on, you can click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration. Screenshots will be visible once changes are successfully pushed to the instance.

Once the status shows complete, go back in the workbook, and observe that these HRIS elements have been updated successfully as the rows and its corresponding fields are now highlighted green. Meanwhile, the processing status has also turned to passed.

You can also confirm these changes by switching to Manage Business Configuration on SAP Success Factors and navigating to the HRIS element you have just updated.
