Step-by-Step Guide: Executing Alert Message in Employee Central Using CodeBot
This comprehensive guide will walk you through creating new Alert Messages, tracking execution progress, and verifying changes in SAP SuccessFactors with CodeBot.
To begin updating Alert Messages, log into your CodeBot dashboard. Locate and click on the Employee Central module tile.
Then, enter into your workspace.
Open the Employee Central Workbook and navigate to the Alert Message tab. This is where you'll initiate the process of adding or updating Alert Messages.
Populate the required columns as follows:
Column B: Enter a new external code.
Column C: add a new name.
Column D: Set the Effective Status to Active.
Column E: Enter the Alert Header.
Column F: Provide Alert Description.
Column G: Enter a Localized Header.
Column H: Provide Localized Description.
Column I: Set the status to Pending.
Save and close the workbook.
Back in CodeBot, click on the hamburger menu and select Start Configuration.
Enter the SAP SuccessFactors password, Execution Notes, check the Alert Message checkbox, and click on Confirm and Start to begin the process.
Execution is processing. Click the “i” icon to track the progress.
Refresh the logs to view updated information.
Once Complete, review the screenshots to see where the changes have been made in the instance.
Reopen the Employee Central Workbook and navigate to the Alert Message tab.
Successfully updated information will be highlighted in green.
The Status column will display as Passed.
Open your SAP SuccessFactors instance.
Navigate to Manage Data.
Search for the Alert Message using the external code you just created.
Confirm that the new Alert Message has been successfully created and updated in the instance via CodeBot.
