Updating the CodeBot IDP Certificate for SSO-Enabled Instances

Overview


The CodeBot IDP certificate is renewed to maintain secure authentication and uninterrupted access for SSO-enabled instances.


This KBA explains how to upload the new IDP certificate for CodeBot.


Applies To:


  • CodeBot customers with SSO-enabled instances only


⚠️ Non-SSO instances are not impacted and do not require this update.



Prerequisites


Before proceeding, ensure you have:


  • Admin access to the SAP IAS Admin Portal
  • The updated CodeBot IDP certificate file (provided by the CodeBot team)

How to upload Metadata file


Steps to Update the CodeBot IDP Certificate in IAS


  1. Log in to the SAP IAS Admin Portal
  2. Navigate to Identity Providers
  • Go to Corporate Identity Providers.
  1. Select the CodeBot IDP
  • Locate and open the application configured for CodeBot SSO.
  1. Open the SAML 2.0 Configuration
  • Navigate to the SAML 2.0.
  1. Upload the New IDP Certificate
  • Scroll down to Signing Certificates, click on add and upload the new CodeBot IDP certificate.
  1. Save the Changes
  • Ensure all changes are saved successfully.
  1. Validate Access
  • Log in to CodeBot, create a new iteration and generate workbook using Login with SSO to confirm authentication is working as expected.






Post-Update Validation


After uploading the certificate:


  • Verify successful SSO login using CodeBot
  • Confirm no authentication errors are observed
  • Generate a workbook or perform a basic action to ensure full access


Impact If Not Updated


If the IDP certificate is not updated before expiration:


  • SSO login using CodeBot may fail
  • Users may experience authentication errors
