SUC - Succession Settings

This step-by-step guide walks you through updating permissions and dates in the Succession module’s Succession Settings worksheet

  1. In your SAP SuccessFactors instance, search for the Succession Settings and review the current granted permissions and default dates. Note any differences you will update using CodeBot.

  1. Return to the Succession workbook. In the Succession Settings tab:

  • In the Settings sheets there is no Procession Status column.
  • Update the permission values in columns B, C, and D as needed, by changing them from False to True (or vice versa) for the relevant rows.
  • Move past the divider and update the Start Date & End Date in columns G & H respectively.

  • Close the Succession workbook.

  1. Back in CodeBot, click the hamburger menu, and select Start Configuration.

  1. In the Start Configuration pop-up window:

  • Enter your SAP SuccessFactors password.
  • Add any execution notes.
  • From Advanced Options, select Succession Settings.
  • Click Confirm and Start to initiate the process.

  1. Monitor Progress of the Execution:

  1. Wait for the execution to complete. Once Complete, reopen the Succession workbook — the rows that were updated successfully will be highlighted in green.

  1. Finally, verify the changes in your SAP SuccessFactors instance: reopen the Succession Settings screen and confirm that the permissions and Default Dates reflect the updates you made via CodeBot.

Note: If anything doesn’t appear as expected, check CodeBot execution logs and send us the Tracking Request ID via the chat box in the lower right-hand corner.

Thank you!
