Robotics - EC - Position Management

Position Robotics doesn't currently support Higher Level/Parent position or Matrix Relationships. This is a pending enhancement. If creating a new position - please be aware that the position will be orphaned and you will need to manually up the Higher Level relationship.


  • Create/have a recent Position Management workbook available
  • Go to Robotics, add new iteration and use the Position Management workbook
  • Once the Iteration has created, select the Hamburger Menu, select Prepare Sheet then select Prepare Sheet then confirm and start - KBA for Prepare Workbook

  • Open the Robotics workbook, there are 3 tabs
    • Position Config

Column B & C should always be completed

  • B represents who is creating the manager i.e. manager, HR, Recruiter
  • C indicates that the bot should take screenshots (TRUE)

Columns E – G

  • E – Indicates which position on the Positions sheet is being actioned i.e. Position 1, Position 2 etc.
  • F – Indicates what action the bot should complete the options are:


Create New

  • If creating new – Column G should be left blank and all data populated into the relevant position on the Position Sheet

Add Same (Peer) Level

  • Add the Position in Column G that is the “peer” or position being copied
    • Change anything relevant in the Position tab


Add Lower Level

  • Add the Position in Column G that is the “higher” or position being copied
  • Change anything relevant in the Position tab


Update

  • Add the Position in Column G that is the position to be updated
  • Change anything relevant in the Position tab


Column I – Copy from Position

    • Enter the Position Number you want to copy (no data in E - G)
    • Update relevant details in the Copy Position Tab for position number, number of positions and the set to be hired.

For Copy Position – the bot will fill in the created numbers after it’s processed
