Description

This Knowledge Base Article (KBA) explains how to create a Permission Group in SAP SuccessFactors using CodeBot. Permission Groups allow administrators to define a set of users based on specific criteria, making it easier to manage Role-Based Permissions (RBP) and user access across the system.

  1. First, in CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors, navigate to Role Based Permissions Module tile from the home page.

  1. Enter into your workspace through the workspace window.

  1. Open the workbook to the permissions groups tab, In column E add group name, and from column C select the added group name from the Dropdown, set the status to pending.

  1. Add the required data across Columns F through R.

  1. Go back to CodeBot and launch Start Configuration from the hamburger menu.

  1. Enter the password for that particular instance, execution notes and check RBP Groups permissions from the advanced options then click Confirm and start.

  1. As the iteration starts processing, click on the “i” icon to check the progress of the execution.

  1. Refresh the logs to view updated information, screenshots become visible once the Execution is completed.

  1. After the execution is done, status is changed to complete. Open the O365 workbook and see that the Workbook highlights the new changes in green.

  1. Now go to successfactors instance. Under Manage Permissions Groups, you can see that the new group name has been added here successfully from the workbook.
