RBP - How to Add a New Inactive Role
This knowledge base article explains how RBP (Role-Based Permissions) roles work. You can either create a new inactive role with no permissions or rename an existing one.
It also provides step-by-step instructions on how to add a new inactive role.
Navigate to Role Based Permissions Module on the dashboard.

Open the RBP workbook to the RBP roles tab.

Set the status to pending in Column B. Now In column D, add the new role name, followed by the description, role status for that role.
Note: You can leave the Role ID blank, the bot will auto-generate it.

Back in CodeBot, click the hamburger menu and select start configuration. Enter the successfactors password if there is no SSO implemented, execution notes and check RBP Roles from the advance options and click on confirm and start as shown below.


Click on the "i" icon to see the progress of the execution. Once the execution completes, screenshots are available of the changes that we made.

Open the O365 Workbook and notice that the changes are highlighted in green. And the Role ID has been auto-generated.


Login to SAP SuccessFactors instance, Navigate to ‘’Manage Permission Roles’'. Notice that the new inactive role has been successfully created in the instance using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.
