Proxy Server
CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors is a tool designed to automate and streamline workflows for various tasks within a system. By default, CodeBot uses random IP addresses to log into the system and execute tasks. However, some companies impose security measures that restrict access to their systems from unknown or random IPs. This creates a challenge for customers who need to use CodeBot but face difficulties due to these security restrictions.
To overcome this obstacle, CodeBot introduced a proxy server feature that allows users to connect to the system using a static IP address, thus bypassing IP-based restrictions. The goal of this solution is to make the process easier for customers who rely on CodeBot while adhering to the security requirements set by their company.
Here are the steps to configure the static IP in your system:
CodeBot's proxy server supports the IP address: 54.165.233.186
When setting up the instance in CodeBot, ensure that the "Use Proxy Server" option is set to "Yes." This will enable the bot to use the static IP rather than random IPs.

Adding the Proxy server into SuccessFactors
In the SuccessFactors instance navigate to “Password and Login Policy Settings”. Click on “Set API login exceptions” once it is expanded, click on ADD.

2. Here, enter the username, set the password age and paste the IP address provided by CodeBot.

You can also edit existing user IP from here.
Navigate to IP Restriction Management in your SuccessFactors instance. At this window, you can define the static IP provided by CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.
Asking your network administrator:
To ensure seamless connectivity and proper configuration of CodeBot with SAP SuccessFactors, it is important to work with your network administrator. They can facilitate the process of allowing the static IP provided by CodeBot (54.165.233.186) through your network’s security measures.
Conclusion:
By enabling the "Use Proxy Server" option in CodeBot and having your network administrator whitelist the static IP (54.165.233.186), businesses can bypass IP restrictions and ensure seamless task automation. This solution maintains security standards while optimizing the efficiency of automation. With the static IP in place, CodeBot integrates smoothly with SAP SuccessFactors, offering a secure and reliable pathway for businesses to automate tasks without compromising network security. Working closely with your network administrator ensures proper configuration, testing, and monitoring for optimal performance.
