PM Templates Migration
This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of comparing two PM GM workbooks from different instances. We’ll begin by identifying the differences between the two workbooks in the PM Templates tab and proceed to migrate any missing PM Templates using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.
- On the CodeBot dashboard, click on the PM/GM module tile.
- Then, enter into your workspace
- Generate 2 PM/GM workbooks. Each from a different instance.
- Once both the workbooks are completed. Compare the workbooks.
- Once the execution is complete, open the workbook and observe the red and green highlights. The red highlights indicate differences between the two workbooks generated from different instances, while the green highlights represent matching data across both.
- In this example, the PM Templates highlighted in red do not exist in the other instances. To address this, we’ll migrate the missing PM Templates to the target instance using CodeBot.
- Navigate to column B and set the Processing Status to Pending for the PM Templates you wish to migrate and close the workbook.
- Back in CodeBot, click on the pencil icon and change the instance. For instance, in this example the instance is changed from 443 to T1. Enter the SFSF username and click on submit form.
- The iteration is successfully updated. Click the hamburger menu and then click on Request Reprocess. Click the Hamburger Menu again and select Start Configuration.
- Login using SSO, enter execution notes, Select Templates PM from the advance options. Select either the Standard or Optimized process. The Optimized Process offers faster performance as it operates through API, while the Standard Process runs via RPA. Once selected, click Confirm and Start to proceed.
- Monitor Progress of the Execution:
- Once complete, Open the PM GM workbook and observe that the PM Templates have been successfully migrated to the target instance. The data that was previously highlighted in red is now shown in green, indicating a successful match between both instances. Additionally, the Processing Status has changed from Pending to Processed, confirming that the migration was completed.
- Next, log in to the target instance and navigate to Manage Templates. Click on Performance Review, scroll down and You’ll see that the PM Templates have been successfully migrated from the source instance to the target instance using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.
