JPB – Job Profile Template

This guide outlines the step-by-step process for Job Profile Template updates using a pre-generated workbook in the Job Profile Builder module, and automating the changes using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.


  1. Login to CodeBot. On the Dashboard click on Platform & then locate & click on the Job Profile Builder module.




  1. Enter into your workspace & open the JPB workbook to the Job Profile Template tab.


  • Column B: Set the Processing Status to pending.
  • Column C: Enter a new Job Profile Template Name.
  • Column E: Add the Job Families.
  • Column F: Set the status to either Active or Inactive according to the requirement.
  • Column G: The GUID is read-only and used for backend referencing. The GUID will be autogenerated once the execution is successfully completed.



Across the divider,


  • Column I: Enter the Job Profile Template - Config.
  • Column J: Add the Section Type Id.
  • Column K: Section ID is read only and will be autogenerated once the execution is successfully completed.
  • Column L: add the Section Order.
  • Column M: Provide Section Job Title.
  • Column N onwards: Add the data according to your requirements.




  • Close the workbook.


  1. Back in CodeBot, click on the hamburger menu and select Start Configuration.



  1. If the SSO is implemented, Login using SSO, enter Execution Notes, check the Job Profile Template checkbox, and click on Confirm and Start to begin the process.



  1. As the status changes to processing you can track the progress of the execution. To monitor the progress please refer to the article attached below:

  1. Reopen the JPB workbook and navigate to the Job Profile Template tab.


  • The Processing status has changed from pending to processed.
  • Successfully updated information will be highlighted in green.
  • The GUID is generated by the system.


  • The Section ID is generated by the system.




  1. Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors instance:


  • Navigate to: Admin Center → Manage Job Profile Templates.
  • Review the list to verify that your updates have been applied correctly.


Expected Outcome


  • The new Job Profile Template is successfully created in the Job Profile Builder.
  • Green highlights in the workbook confirm successful processing.
  • The updated Job Profile Template appear in the SAP SuccessFactors instance.
