Time Off – Absence Counting Method

This article guides users through the process of creating a new Absence Counting Method in SAP SuccessFactors using CodeBot via the Time Off Workbook.


  1. Open Time Off Workbook


  • Launch the Time Off Workbook provided by CodeBot.
  • Navigate to the Absence Counting Method tab.


  1. Enter Data for Upload


  • Column B: Set the Processing Status column to "Pending".
  • Column C: Enter the Absence Counting Method Code.
  • Column D: Add the Absence Counting Method Name.
  • Column E (Consider Holidays): Select yes/no from the drop down.
  • Column F:  Enter the Country/Region.
  • Column G: Add the Calculation Based On
  • Columns H, I, J, K, L, M & N: Select either Yes/No from the dropdown. According to the requirements.
  • Column O: Leave the Entity UUID column blank — this will be auto-generated upon successful execution.

 


  1. Back in CodeBot, click on the hamburger menu and select Start Configuration.

 


  1. If the SSO is implemented, Login using SSO, enter Execution Notes, check the Absence Counting Method checkbox, and click on Confirm and Start to begin the process.

 


  1. Monitor the Progress of the Execution

  1. Confirm Execution


  • Re-open the Time Off Workbook.
  • Look for green highlights in the rows — this indicates successful processing.
  • The Entity UUID will now be auto-filled.

 


  1. Validation in SuccessFactors


  • To verify the newly created Absence Counting Method:
  • Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors instance.
  • Navigate to Manage Data.
  • In the search bar, type Absence Counting Method.
  • Locate your newly created Absence Counting Method.
