How to Update Proficiency Settings Rating Scale for Talent Intelligence Hub Using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors
Purpose
This article provides step-by-step instructions to update or create a Proficiency Settings Rating Scale within the Talent Intelligence Hub in SAP SuccessFactors, using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.
Prerequisites
- Access to CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors
- Appropriate permissions to modify Talent Intelligence Hub configurations
- The Talent Intelligence Hub Workbook generated (latest version)
Procedure
Step 1: Open the Talent Intelligence Hub Workbook
- Open the Talent Intelligence Hub workbook.
- Navigate to the “Prof Settings Rating Scale” tab.
Step 2: Enter Rating Scale Details
Fill out the workbook fields as follows:
Column | Field Name | Action / Description |

B | Name | Enter the name for the rating scale. |
C | Status | Set to Active or Inactive. |
D | Description | Provide a clear and concise description of the rating scale. |
E | (Read-only) | No input required. |
F | Number of Levels | Enter the number of proficiency levels for this scale. |
G | Lowest Level Value | Define the numeric or descriptive value for the lowest proficiency level. |
H | Flag (Yes/No) | Select Yes or No as applicable. |
J – M | Proficiency Levels | Define the names or values for each proficiency level (e.g., Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert). |
O | Processing Name | Enter the processing name for identification. |
P | Processing Status | Set this value to Pending. |
💡 Tip: Column E is read-only; do not make any edits in this column.
Once all required data has been entered, save and close the workbook.
Step 3: Execute Configuration in CodeBot
- Open CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.
- Click the hamburger menu (☰) and select Start Configuration.
- If your instance uses SSO (Single Sign-On), check the SSO Enabled box.
- If SSO is not enabled, enter your SFSF Password manually.
- Provide relevant Execution Notes for reference.
- Under Advanced Options, select Proficiency Settings Rating Scale.
- Click Confirm and Start to begin the configuration process.
Step 4: Review Execution Results
- After the execution completes, CodeBot provides screenshots showing the updates applied.
- Open the Talent Intelligence Hub Workbook again — successfully updated rows will be highlighted in green, indicating that the changes were successfully processed.
Step 5: Verify in SAP SuccessFactors
- Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors instance.
- Navigate to:
Admin Center → Manage Talent Intelligence Hub → Proficiency Settings → Rating Scale
- Verify that the new or updated rating scale appears correctly in the list.
Expected Outcome
- The new or modified Proficiency Settings Rating Scale is successfully created or updated in the Talent Intelligence Hub.
- The workbook highlights successful changes in green after processing.
- Screenshots of the applied changes are available within CodeBot for review.
