# TIH - Attribute Types

# **How to Update Attribute Types for Talent Intelligence Hub Using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors**
### **Overview**

This article provides step-by-step guidance on how to update *Attribute Types* for the **Talent Intelligence Hub** in **SAP SuccessFactors** using **CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors**.

## **Prerequisites**

* Access to **SAP SuccessFactors** instance
* Access to **CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors**
* **Talent Intelligence Hub workbook generated**

## **Step 1: Prepare the Workbook**

1. Open the **Talent Intelligence Hub workbook**.
2. Navigate to the **Attribute Types** tab.
3. Enter or update the required data in the following columns:ColumnFieldDescription**B**Singular Attribute NameEnter the singular name of the attribute (e.g., *Skill*, *Certification*).**C**Plural Attribute NameEnter the plural name of the attribute (e.g., *Skills*, *Certifications*).**D**StatusSet to **Active** or **Inactive** as required.**H**DescriptionProvide a clear description of the attribute.**I**Proficiency Level ScaleSelect or enter the appropriate proficiency scale.**L**Processing StatusSet to **Pending**.

4. After entering all required data, **save and close** the workbook.

## **Step 2: Start the Configuration in CodeBot**

1. Open **CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors**.
2. Click the **hamburger menu (☰)** and select **Start Configuration**.
3. If your instance is **SSO enabled**, check the **SSO** checkbox.
    * If not, enter your **SAP SuccessFactors Password**.
4. Add **execution notes** to describe the purpose of the update.
5. Under **Advanced Options**, select **Attribute Types**.
6. Click **Confirm and Start** to begin the configuration.

## **Step 3: Review the Execution**

* Upon completion, CodeBot will display **screenshots** showing the changes applied to the system.

* Open the **Talent Intelligence Hub workbook** again.
* Successfully updated rows will be **highlighted in green**, indicating successful updates.

## **Step 4: Verify the Updates in SAP SuccessFactors**

1. Log in to your **SAP SuccessFactors** instance.
2. Navigate to:
**Admin Center → Manage Talent Intelligence Hub → Attribute Types**
3. Review the list to verify that your updates have been applied correctly.

## **Expected Outcome**

* Attribute Types are successfully updated and activated in the **Talent Intelligence Hub**.
* Green highlights in the workbook confirm successful processing.
* The updated attributes appear in the SAP SuccessFactors instance.
