# Succession - Org Chart Configuration

## **Updating Org Chart Configuration for Succession in SAP SuccessFactors Using CodeBot**

### **Purpose**
This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to update **Org Chart Configuration** for **Succession** in **SAP SuccessFactors** using **CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors**.

### **Pre-requisites**
* Access to **CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors**
* Valid **SuccessFactors instance credentials** (SSO-enabled or non-SSO)
* The **Succession workbook** downloaded/generated and ready for editing.

### **Procedure**
#### **Step 1: Open the Succession Workbook**
1. Launch the **Succession workbook** provided for configuration.
2. Navigate to the **Org Chart Configuration** section/tab.

#### **Step 2: Input Configuration Values**
In the workbook, update the following columns as per your organizational requirements:
| Column | Description | Expected Values |
| ---- |
| **C** | Basic Org Chart Configuration | `TRUE` or `FALSE` |
| **F** | Succession Org Chart Configuration | `TRUE` or `FALSE` |
| **I** | Position Org Chart Configuration | `TRUE` or `FALSE` |
> **Note:**This workbook **does not include any “Processing Status” column**.Only input configuration values (TRUE/FALSE) in the respective columns.

#### **Step 3: Save and Close the Workbook**
After entering all required values:
* Save your changes.
* Close the workbook before returning to CodeBot.

#### **Step 4: Execute Configuration via CodeBot**
1. Back in **CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors**.
2. Click the **☰ (hamburger menu)** in the top left corner.
3. Select **“Start Configuration.”**
4. If your instance uses **Single Sign-On (SSO)**, check the **SSO Enabled** checkbox, otherwise enter the SFSF password.
5. In the **Execution Notes** section, add a brief note (e.g., *Org chart config update for Succession*).
6. Under **Advanced Options**, ensure **Org Chart Configuration** is checked.
7. Click **Confirm and Start** to begin the process.

#### **Step 5: Review Execution Results**
* Once execution is complete, CodeBot will display a summary of the configuration changes.
* You can also **view screenshots** showing the updates made to the Org Chart configuration.

#### **Step 6: Validate the Changes**
1. Reopen the **Succession workbook**.
    * Successfully updated fields will be **highlighted in green**.

#### **Step 7: Verify in SAP SuccessFactors**
1. Log in to your **SAP SuccessFactors** instance.
2. Navigate to:
**Admin Center → Succession → Org Chart Configuration**
3. Verify that updates are correctly reflected for:
    * Basic Org Chart
    * Succession Org Chart
    * Position Org Chart
