RCM – Permission Groups

Follow these steps to create a new Permission Group in your SuccessFactors instance using Codebot.


  1. Launch the Recruiting Management workbook and navigate to the Permission Groups tab.


Complete the following fields in the Permission Groups tab:


  • Column B: set the processing status to pending
  • Column C: Enter the Processing Group Name.
  • Column E: Enter a unique name for the new permission group.
  • Column F: Specify the appropriate DG (Data Group) pool for the permission group.
  • Column G: Provide the label for the field.
  • Column H: Enter the expression value that defines the permissions for the group.


Close the workbook.


  1. Back in Codebot click on the hamburger menu and select Start Configuration



  1. If SSO is implemented, log in using SSO. Enter Execution Notes, check the Permission Groups checkbox, and click on Confirm and Start to begin the process.



  1. Monitor Progress of the execution:

  1. After the execution completes successfully, open the workbook again. You should see green highlights indicating the successful creation of the permission group.



  1. Go to Manage Recruiting Groups in the SuccessFactors Instance. Look for the new permission group you created. It should now appear in the dropdown list.


  1. Notice that the new Permission Group has been successfully created and updated in the instance using CodeBot.
