RCM – Candidate Rules

This step-by-step guide will help you to update Candidate Rules in Recruiting Management module using Codebot.


  1. Open the Recruiting Management workbook and navigate to the Candidate Rules tab.


Populate the columns as follows:


  • Column B: set the processing status to pending
  • Column C: select the Process Candidate Template from the drop down


Across the divider,


  • Column E: enter the Candidate Template
  • Column F: add the fields
  • Column G: enter the Field Change Rules


Across the divider,


  • Column I: enter the Candidate Template
  • Column J: add the Template Level Rule Labels
  • Column K: enter the Template Level Rules


Close the workbook.




  1. Back in Codebot click on the hamburger menu (☰) and select Start Configuration.



  1. Authenticate and Select Options


  • If your instance uses SSO, you will be logged in automatically.
  • If your instance requires an SFSF Password, enter it when prompted.
  • Add execution notes for your reference.
  • Under Advanced Options, ensure Candidate Rules is selected.
  • Click Confirm and Start.



  1. Execution Process


CodeBot will now process the changes:


  • The execution status will update in real-time.
  • Click the “i” icon to track the progress of the execution.
  • Wait for the execution to complete.




  1. Completion


  • Once the process completes, review the logs to ensure there were no errors.
  • Open screenshots to see where the changes have been made in the instance.





  1. Verify Changes in Workbook


  • Reopen the Recruiting Management Workbook.
  • You will notice green highlights indicating that the changes have been successfully updated.
  • The Processing Status will display as “Processed”



  1. Final Verification in SuccessFactors


  • Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors instance.
  • Navigate to Manage Recruiting Rules.
  • Click on Candidate.
  • Notice that the changes have been successfully updated in the SAP SuccessFactors instance.
