ONB - MDF Objects

Adding an MDF object is now an easier process using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.


  1. Navigate to a generated Onboarding workbook and click on "MDF Objects" tab.


  • Set the Processing Status to Pending in Column B
  • Add a custom field of your choice by writing "cust_" at the beginning in Column C, Object ID.
  • fill out all the necessary columns as shown in the image below
  • Close the workbook



  1. Navigate back to CodeBot. Click on hamburger menu from actions menu and hit "Start Configuration".



  1. Login using Single Sign-On (SSO) if it is enabled. If SSO is not available, enter your SuccessFactors password.


  • Next, provide the execution notes
  • Finally, check the "MDF Objects" box and click Confirm & Start to initiate the process


  1. Monitor Progress of the Execution

  1. Reopen the Onboarding workbook and you’ll see that the Processing Status will display as Processed. The MDF Object is added and the successfully updated information is highlighted in green.




  1. To verify, open your SAP SuccessFactors instance and navigate to Configure Object Definitions.


  • Select Object Definition from the dropdown and then search for the MDF object you just created
  • Notice that the new MDF Object has been successfully created and updated in the instance using CodeBot
