ONB - Email Categories
Purpose
This guide walks you through the steps required to add a new email category in SAP SuccessFactors using the CodeBot automation tool and the Onboarding 2.0 workbook.
✅ Prerequisites
- Access to SAP SuccessFactors with relevant admin permissions.
- Access to CodeBot.
- Onboarding 2.0 workbook generated.
- If SSO is not enabled, you must have your SFSF login credentials ready.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Open the Onboarding 2.0 Workbook in CodeBot
- Locate the Email Category tab in the workbook.
2. Fill in the Email Category Details
Note: Make sure to set the processing status to pending and proceed afterwards.
Enter the process category name in column C, repeat the same name in column E (after the divider), provide a description in column F, and specify the content builder in column G. Then, fill in the recipient details in the section after the divider, and close the workbook.
3. Run CodeBot Automation
Click the hamburger menu (☰) and select “Start Configuration.
4. Authenticate & Start
- If SSO is enabled:
- Enter execution notes, check the box for Email Categories, and click Confirm and Start.
- If SSO is NOT enabled:
- Enter your SFSF password, then follow the same steps as above.
- Enter your SFSF password, then follow the same steps as above.
5. Monitor the Execution
- Click the “i” icon to monitor the execution status in real time.
- Screenshots and logs will be available to validate each update.
6. Verify Success
- Once the execution is complete, open the workbook.
- Look for green-highlighted rows, indicating successful updates.
7. Final Verification in SAP SuccessFactors
- Go to Admin Center → Email Services → Email Categories.
- Confirm the presence of the newly created email category in your instance.
