# Manage OAuth 2 Instructions for OData

Manage OAuth 2 Instructions for API KEY and pem Certificate.

1. **Navigate to Manage OAuth2.**

2. **Register Client.**

3. **Enter Applicant name, Description, Applicant URL. **

4. **Select Generate X.509**

5. **Enter Common Name & Generate.**

6. **Download**

7. **Click Register.**

8. **View Client Applications – Copy/Paste API KEY into Form.**

9. **Open the Downloaded pem Certificate File with the TextEdit App for Mac and the Notepad++ app for Windows.**
​  
Once open, Copy/Paste the First Paragraph section “Begin Encrypted Private Key” (blurred in blue below) into the pem Certificate section on the form.  
​  
** NOTE – Please select the entire Encrypted Key, typically starting with “TU”.**
