LMS - Adding Items

This Article will help you understand how to add an item ID in LMS using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors.

Following are the steps that will guide you to the entire process.

Step 1: Open the LMS workbook and navigate to the ''items'' tab.

Step 2: For adding a new item Id, make sure to provide a revision number along with that newly added item id to prevent the revision ahead.

Step 3: Column E ''Completion Status'' is a mandatory field, so it must be entered when creating a new item.

Note: Mandatory fields vary for different item types. Make sure to validate it from the instance.

Step 4: After all the required information is added, scroll all the way to right and in column AZ ''Creation date'' and BB ''Revision date and time'', make sure to add the current date and there is no space before the date and after time.

Step 5: Lastly, set the processing status of the newly added item ID to pending and close the workbook.

Step 6: Click the hamburger menu, and select start configuration. A popup will appear as shown below.

This is just a warning if you have workbook open for the iteration you are working on, office 365 acts differently. Simply click on confirm and move on.

Step 7: Enter the SFSF password, any execution notes and select items from the checkbox and click on ''Confirm and Start'' and the Iteration starts processing.

Step 8: Click the ''i'' icon to see the progress of the execution. Once complete, screenshots become visible of the changes that were made in the workbook.

Step 9: Open the workbook, and notice that the changes are highlighted in green.

Step 10: Open the SuccessFactors instance, search for ''Learning Administration'' and from the learning activities dropdown, select items and notice that the new item ID has been created successfully.
