Impact Analysis Integration in CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors – Cloud Integration Platform & Employee Central

Overview:


This article provides a comprehensive guide on how CodeBot simplifies the integration mapping process between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and the SAP BTP – Cloud Integration Platform.


CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors can now scan both your Employee Central workbook and the BTP - Cloud Integration Platform to automatically generate an integrations workbook with mappings.


Key Notes:


The Integration Dependency feature only works during the Prepare and Validation phases.

Integration Dependency Process in CodeBot - How it works?


Step 1: Create a New Iteration


  1. Log into CodeBot.
  2. Navigate to Impact Analysis Integration Module tile on the dashboard
  3. Click on add new iteration
  4. Fill out the form as shown;






Step 2: Run Prepare


  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰) and select "Prepare Sheet".


Note: Under Advanced Options, select only Prepare Sheet.


If you want the data to be included in all sheets, select All instead.


  1. Enter your S-User password.
  2. Enter any Execution Notes
  3. Click Confirm and Start.

After execution is completed;

o Open the workbook.

o Navigate to the INT Artifacts tab.

o Artifacts from the Cloud Integration Platform will be listed.



Set the Status to "Pending" for the integrations you wish to pull field-level data for.



Close the workbook.


Step 3: Start Validation


  1. Back in CodeBot, click the hamburger menu again and select "Start Validation"

  1. Enter your S-User password.
  2. Enter any Execution Notes
  3. Click Confirm and Start.


Step 4: Review the Integration Fields

  1. Once validation completes, open the workbook.
  2. Go to the INT Fields Detail tab and INT End Point Details.


These tabs now includes detailed field-level mappings and end point details for the selected integrations.

Step 5: Cross-reference with Employee Central Workbook


  1. Open the connected Employee Central workbook.
  2. Notice the yellow-highlighted fields


These indicate fields used in the fetched integrations.

These notes provide additional context, including field-level mappings and integration references.
