EC - How to Create an Event Reason?

The following article will help explain how you can create an event reason through SFCodeBot.

Navigate to CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors, and enter your login details.

On the Home screen, click on the Employee Central module.

Select your workspace from the next screen.

Navigate to a generated workbook in my case iteration # 245. Click the sheet icon.

The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Select the Event Reason worksheet.

Suggest a name for the event reason in Column B. Fill the remaining fields according to your requirement and set processing status to pending. For this example, we are executing at least ten rows to meet the threshold limit set by SAP Success Factors.

Close the workbook and navigate back to SFCodeBot. Click the hamburger icon under the Actions tab for the same iteration number. Select ‘Start Configuration’ option from the dropdown menu.

The Start Configuration popup will appear. Enter your credentials and some execution notes. Lastly, select the Event Reason checkbox, and hit Confirm and Start button.

Later on, you can click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration. Screenshots will be visible once changes are successfully pushed to the instance.

Once the status shows complete, go back in the workbook, and observe that these event reasons have been added successfully as the rows and its corresponding fields are now highlighted green. Meanwhile, the processing status has also turned to processed.

You can confirm the changes you have made by accessing the Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures on SAP Success Factors. Once you are there, search and select the workflow you have just created.
