EC - How to Add a Trigger Rule?

The following article will help explain how you can add a trigger rule through SFCodeBot.

Navigate to CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors, and enter your login details.

On the Home screen, click on the Employee Central module.

Select your workspace from the next screen.

Navigate to a generated workbook in my case iteration # 245. Click the sheet icon.

The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Select the Trigger Rules worksheet.

In column B, choose an HRIS Element that is available in your SAP Success Factors account. Suggest a name for your trigger rule in Column D. Fill in the remaining fields according to your requirement. Finally, select the HRIS Element you wish to execute and set the processing status to pending in the last section (Column U – V).

Close the workbook and navigate back to SFCodeBot. Click the hamburger icon under the Actions tab for the same iteration number. Select the ‘Start Configuration’ option from the dropdown menu.

The Start Configuration popup will appear. Enter your credentials and some execution notes. Lastly, select the Trigger Rules checkbox, and hit "Confirm and Start" button.

Later on, you can click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration. Screenshots will be visible once changes are successfully pushed to the instance.

Once the status shows complete, go back in the workbook, and observe that these triggers have been added successfully as the rows and their corresponding fields are now highlighted green. Meanwhile, the processing status has also turned to processed.

You can also confirm this change by switching to Manage Business Configuration on SAP Success Factors.
