Creating or Updating Company Car Lease Service Providers for EC Benefits Using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors

Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions for creating or updating Company Car Lease Service Providers for Employee Central (EC) Benefits in SAP SuccessFactors using CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors. This automated process ensures accurate configuration updates with minimal manual intervention.


1. Open the generated EC Benefits Workbook


  1. Open the EC Benefits generated workbook and go to the tab.

Comp Car Lease Srv Provider

  1. Fill in the required fields:
  • Column B – Processing Status:

Set this to Pending for the row thats needs to be updated.

  • Column C – External Code:

Enter the unique identifier for the service provider.

  • Column D – Date:

Provide the effective date for the configuration.

  • Column E – Service Provider:

Specify the name of the car lease service provider.

  • Column F – Installment Interest Rate:

Enter the corresponding interest rate applicable.



  1. Once all required details are added, save and close the workbook.


2. Execute the Configuration in CodeBot


  1. Return to CodeBot.
  2. Click the hamburger menu (top left).
  3. Select Start Configuration.
  4. Authentication:
  • If the instance is SSO-enabled, enable the SSO checkbox
  • If not SSO-enabled, enter the SFSF password.
  1. Add execution notes to document the purpose of the run.
  2. Under Advanced Options:
  • Select Comp Car Lease Srv Provider.
  • Choose the Optimized Version.
  1. Click Confirm and Start to begin the automated update.



3. Review Execution Results


  • After processing is complete, CodeBot will display:
  • A summary of execution
  • Screenshots of the updates applied.



  • Reopen the workbook
  • Rows that were successfully processed will appear highlighted in green



4. Validate the Changes in SAP SuccessFactors


  1. Log in to your SAP SuccessFactors instance.
  2. Navigate to:

Benefits Admin Overview

  1. Search for Comp Car Lease Srv Provider.
  2. In the secondary search field, enter the External Code of the newly created or updated provider.
  3. Verify that the record appears and that the data matches the entries in the workbook.
