EC – Adding a new Dynamic Role
Streamlining Dynamic Roles in Employee Central with CodeBot
This guide details the process for creating and updating Dynamic Roles in Employee Central using CodeBot, enabling seamless execution, progress tracking, and verification in SAP SuccessFactors.
Log into the CodeBot dashboard and access the Employee Central module.
Then, enter into your workspace.
Open the Employee Central Workbook and navigate to the Dynamic Roles tab.
Populate the required columns as follows:
Column B: Enter a new Dynamic Role ID.
Column C: Add a new Dynamic Role.
Column D: Provide a description.
Column E: Input Job Classification.
Column F: Enter Department.
Column G: Add a Division.
Column H: Input a Location.
Column I: Enter the Legal Entity.
Column J: Add Business Unit.
Column K: Add the Cost Center.
Column L: Enter the Pay Grade.
Column M: Input the Pay Group.
Column N: Provide the Event Reason.
Column O: Set the Approver Type to Person.
Column P: Enter the Approver.
Column CK: Set the Processing Status to pending.
Save and Close the workbook.
Back in CodeBot, click on the hamburger menu and select Start Configuration.
If SSO is implemented, log in using SSO.
Enter Execution Notes, check the Dynamic Role checkbox, and click on Confirm and Start to begin the process.
Execution is processing. Click the “i” icon to track the progress.
Refresh the logs to view updated information.
Once Complete, review the screenshots to see where the changes have been made in the instance.
Reopen the Employee Central workbook. Successfully updated information will be highlighted in green.
The Processing Status column will display as Processed.
Open your SAP SuccessFactors instance and navigate to Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures.
Search for the Dynamic Role using the Dynamic Role ID you just created.
Confirm that the new Dynamic Role has been successfully created and updated in the instance via CodeBot.
