Configuration UI - Object Fields
Streamlining Object Fields in Config UI with CodeBot
This guide details the process for updating Object Fields in Configuration UI module using CodeBot.
To begin updating Object Fields, log into your CodeBot dashboard. Locate and click on the Configuration UI module tile.

Then, enter into your workspace.

Open your Configuration UI workbook and navigate to the Object Fields tab.
Populate the required columns as follows:
Column B: Enter an Object ID to identify the Object you are updating the fields for.
Column C: Add the corresponding Field IDs for the fields you wish to update.
Column D: Enter the Name for each field.
Columns E, F, G & H: Select either Yes or No from the dropdown as per the requirement.
Column K: Set the Value Type to either Resolver or User Defined as per the requirement.
Column M: Enter the Value Type Resolver.
Column N: Add the Label Override.

Across the Divider,
Column P: Enter the Field Font Color.
Column Q: Add the Field Font Type
Column R: Set the Field Font Size as per the requirement.
Column S, T, U & V: Choose either True or False from the dropdown.

Across the divider,
Column X: Enter the Label Font Color.
Column Y: Add the Label Font Type
Column Z: Set the Label Font Size as per the requirement.
Column AA, AB, AC & AD: Choose either True or False from the dropdown.

Finally,
Column AK: Choose the Processing Object ID from the dropdown.
Column AL: Set the Processing Status to pending.

Back in CodeBot, click on the hamburger menu and select Start Configuration.

If SSO is implemented, log in using SSO. Enter Execution Notes, check the Object Fields checkbox, and click on Confirm and Start to begin the process.

Execution is processing. Click the āiā icon to track the progress.

Refresh the logs to view updated information.

Once Complete, review the screenshots to see where the changes have been made in the instance.

Reopen the Configuration UI workbook. Successfully updated information will be highlighted in green.


The Processing Status column will display as Processed.

Open your SAP SuccessFactors instance and navigate to Manage Configuration UI. Search for the Object ID you just updated the fields for.
Click on Add Fields, first, and then on Edit Properties.

Confirm that the Object Fields has been successfully updated in the instance via CodeBot.
