# Comparing iterations in CodeBot for SAP SuccessFactors

This article will help you compare iterations in Codebot for SAP SuccessFactors.

1. To compare iterations, we will need two generated workbooks from different instances for any module that you want to explore.

* **To generate the workbooks, refer to the following article:**

2. Once the workbooks are successfully generated. You can clone both the workbooks.

**Note:** cloning isn’t required for every compare, but it helps keep original workbooks intact.

**To clone a workbook:**

* Click on the clone button under actions menu.

* Enter the **Iteration number**, select **Instance type**, and choose: Clone Iteration Configuration & Workbook
* **Clone Iteration Configuration & Workbook** – copies both iteration settings and workbook data.
* **Clone Iteration Configuration** – copies iteration settings only (no workbook data).
* Click **Confirm & Clone**.

3. Once the workbooks are successfully cloned, click on the hamburger menu and select **Compare Iterations.**

4. Select the iteration you wish to compare against. Add execution notes then click **Confirm and Start** to begin the process.

* Repeat the same process for the other iteration.

* So, you compare **Iteration A → B** and **Iteration B → A** (both directions).

5. The Executions are now processing. You can track the progress by clicking on the “i” icon.

6. **Review Results**
* Once complete, open both workbooks and review highlights across tabs:
    * **Red** = differences between the two iterations.
    * **Green** = matching values across both.
